2004

In 2004 we realised there was a need for heavy duty affordable gym equipment in Ireland. The two types of equipment available at the time was flimsy home use equipment and big brand name full commercial  equipment which cost thousands per piece.

In order to properly test the equipment we decided to open a gym and use it as a working showroom for the equipment. That way we could see quickly any faults or design changes needed. The gym was called Pinnacle gym and was on Camden St. Both the gym equipment sales business and the gym itself took off and the gym became too busy and we were in the process of moving to a bigger building we decided to sell the gym business as a stand alone business to two of the members who renamed it Raw. We are happy to report that a lot of the original equipment from Pinnacle is still going strong 10 years later including our best seller the heavy power rack which regularly has 300kg+ squatters use it in Raw.

2007

In 2007 after selling the gym we used the funds to expand Irish Lifting. Up till this point we had just been working from a 4 car garage. We moved to our first warehouse in Firhouse and quickly outgrew that and moved to a bigger premises in Lucan. We also got a disticntive commercial Hummer for advertising and doing equipment deliveries.

2009

In 2009 we expanded further by moving to a large 7,500sq ft warehouse with 2,500sq ft of showroom space in the Sandyford Industrial Estate. We had the pleasure of working with some of the countries most reputable organisations including the IRFU, the University of Limerick, Leinster Rugby, Intel and UCD.

2016

We supplied Go Gym with over a quarter of a million euros worth of equipment for their 35,000sq ft gym and it made us realise that, while we loved being in Sandyford after being there for 6 years, we had outgrown the warehouse again… In January of 2016 we moved to an even bigger warehouse in Ballymount where we have 9,000sq ft of space including 3,000sq ft of showrooms. We combined this with developing a new website, investing in better stock management and forecasting systems and we hope this premises will be sufficient for our continued growth.
